How do I save my design and get a CAD drawing?

Click the 'Email Quote' button in the bottom right of the screen and your design and quote will be sent to you, along with a link to place an order for this design should you wish to.

I've processed my order online, but there are a couple of changes I need to make, can I change this online?

Unfortunately not - you’ll need to call us so that we can make sure that no work has been done on the flight and so we can make the alterations immediately so as not to delay your order.

How accurate are the sizes on the StairBuilder?

All staircases are manufactured to the exact sizes shown on the StairBuilder, however as timber is a natural product it can swell slightly in different temperature and humidity conditions (usually around 5mm in the width). We always recommend leaving an additional 10mm surrounding your staircase for fitting purposes. We advise you to double check the CAD drawing which you will receive within 24 hours of placing your order.

Will my staircase comply with Building Regulations?

Anything designed using our StairBuilder will comply with UK Building Regulations as dictated by Document K for Domestic purposes. Should you require a staircase that complies with Commercial Regulations, or outside Building Regulations, please call us.

I would like to buy multiple staircases but your StairBuilder doesn't provide a discount.

Can you provide online help when using the StairBuilder?

Yes, we offer live support during office hours. Simply click the "Live help" button in the bottom left of the screen and follow the onscreen instructions.

We've made it super simple to add balustrade to your design - the new interactive staircase image allows you to simply click on the areas of the staircase you'd like to add balustrade to, with options for all balustrade styles including oak and glass. Our staircase design tool also shows a live "3D" staircase visualizer as you create your design, which updates with each click - You can now become an expert staircase designer!

Our stair designer has lots of useful features, such as the option to create new combinations of feature treads and the capability to design Open Plan staircases online with ease. It will also automatically alert you if you a design falls outside of building regulations.

Our online stair designer has been specifically optimised for mobile use, which is especially handy for on-site scenarios. It even offers the option to add "plot references" to your designs.

And with the staircase design tool you can easily find the most common optional extras you might need as part of your project for you to browse and select pre-checkout. You can even spread the cost with our new "Pay In 3" service through PayPal, which gives you the ability to split your purchase into three interest-free payments.
