Timber staircase manufacturer, StairBox has been revealed as one of 1,000 companies to inspire Britain.
Areport by the London Stock Exchange has identified the Staffordshire basedcompany as one of only 73 manufacturing companies in the UK to make the list,only 11 of which are West Midlands based.
Thereport, which is the sixth report released, is a celebration of some of thefastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises in the UKand Europe. As well as identifying 1,000 inspiring companies, the annual reportexamines in detail the opportunities and challenges facing SMEs and looks atthe sector and trends that will shape the future of the British and Europeaneconomies.
Ina letter to StairBox announcing this accolade, David Schwimmer, CEO of theLondon Stock Exchange Group said: "To be selected for the list, businesses hadto demonstrate not only positive growth in revenue over the last three yearsbut also outperform their sector peers. The result is a unique and varied listof the UK’s most dynamic companies."

Over thepast three years, StairBox – part of the AVC Group – has grown significantly.In 2016 the group moved to premises three times the size of the previous site,and has since expanded again with a 30,000sqft extension. In 2018 the groupopened a new trade counter, employed a further 20 people taking their headcountto 120 and has more plans to grow and expand in the near future.
The group continues to grow, develop and innovate as demand increases and in addition to timber staircases, also manufactures and sells windows, doors and premium staircases under Wooden Windows and First Step Designs.
