The judges for the Smart Factory 2019 award arrived at StairBox yesterday for an assessment visit as part of the second round of judging.
The Smart Factory award presented by The Manufacturer MX Awards is given to the manufacturing company that has made the best use of data and technology to maximise it’s competitive advantage within the manufacturing facility. StairBox is one of only 5 finalists to be selected for this prestigious award.
As part of the assessment visit, Alex Hancock (Director) and Mike Walker (Technical Manager) presented an overview of the company, outlining areas of recent smart factory improvements, and provided a full factory tour on-site.
Alex commented “Having the judges on site helped us to showcase StairBox as an innovative, forward-thinking manufacturing company. The judges were certainly impressed by the smart factory operations we’ve developed here, and our commitment to constant innovation.
