Our black metal spindles are available in two styles - straight and rectangular. The straight
spindles can be used on their own or combined with the rectangle style to create a different
aesthetic.
The metal stair spindles are powder coated in a superior, hard wearing matt black finish
matching RAL9005, making them extremely durable.
Coupled with timeless oak handrails and baserails, our black metal spindles combine the
modern with the traditional to create an eyecatching feature. We also have matching black
metal newel caps to complete the look.
Black metal spindles are available on new staircases or to upgrade your existing stairs. Shop
parts online or contact our team for a quote.
Do the black metal spindles come cut to the correct length/angle?
The spindles are supplied at 1100mm long to allow you to cut them to the desired length on site.
How do you recommend cutting the black metal spindles?
Either a hacksaw or a grinder with a metal cutting disc could be used to cut the spindle to the correct length. IMPORTANT: please ensure the correct PPE is worn when using any of these tools.
What sealant/glue do you recommend to fix the black metal spindles in place?
We recommend using CT1 adhesive to fix the spindles in position.
What spacing would you recommend between the black metal spindles?
We would suggest a minimum horizontal spacing of 78mm and a maximum of 99mm. Spacing wider than 99mm would not meet Building Regs. It can be difficult to achieve the correct spacing using the Rectangle black metal spindles only due to their profile, therefore we recommend alternating between a straight spindle and a rectangle spindle (as shown in the image above).
